Common questions

Are open paths always wrong?

No — engraving lines are meant to be open. They are flagged as warnings so you can confirm they are intentional.

What is a thin part?

A closed shape that vanishes when inset by half the minimum feature size — it will burn away or snap off.

Why check for duplicates?

Stacked copies make the machine cut the same line twice, which scorches laser cuts and tears vinyl.
