Laser cutting

Laser Cutting File Maker

Welded, kerf-compensated, layered output for any laser.

How it works

01

Drop the file

Closed paths become cuts, open paths become engraves.

02

Prepare the toolpath

Kerf or tool-radius offsets, holding tabs, drill holes, inside-first ordering and pocket passes.

03

Export DXF or G-code

DXF for your CAM software, or simple 2.5D G-code for hobby routers.

Common questions

Is the G-code safe to run?

It is straightforward G21/G90 with G0 rapids and G1 cuts. Always dry-run above the stock, verify Z zero and adjust feeds for your material.

Why inside-first ordering?

Cutting the holes before the outer profile keeps the part anchored to the sheet while its insides are cut.

Which kerf value?

Measure it with the Kerf Test Generator — typical CO₂ lasers cut 0.15–0.3 mm depending on material and lens.
