Bridges are strips left uncut. 3 mm suits card and mylar; go wider for large stencils or flexible film.

Common questions
Why do some fonts need more bridges?
Every closed counter (O, A, B, D, ة, ه…) is an island. Bold and rounded fonts have more of them; stencil fonts avoid them by design.
Auto or manual direction?
Auto picks the shortest path to the outside for each island. Choose vertical or horizontal for a consistent look on signage.
Will thin bridges survive?
The strength check warns below 2 mm (4 mm on designs over 400 mm). Thin bridges tear during weeding and painting.
