Mockups and previews

Wall, acrylic, shop front, glass, door and wood previews at true scale, with colour, material and size comparisons for customer approval.

Customers rarely misjudge a design; they misjudge its size. A 600 mm decal looks enormous on a phone screen and modest on a two-metre wall, and the argument after installation is expensive. A preview at true scale, on a backdrop with a sofa, a door or a shop counter for reference, settles the size before anything is cut and is the single fastest way to get a sign-off.

The mockup tools place a design from any of the makers, or an uploaded file, on a photographic backdrop at the real size relative to the scene, in the colour and material chosen. Size Comparison Preview shows two sizes side by side; Different Color and Different Material Previews show alternatives on the same scene; Product Mockup Generator exports a clean image for a listing or a proposal.

How a mockup & preview job runs

01

Bring in the design

Send it from a maker with one click, or upload an SVG or PNG. Set the finished size in millimetres if it is not already carried in the file.

02

Choose the scene

Wall Sticker, Acrylic Wall Art, Shop Sign, Glass Sticker, Door Nameplate and Wood Wall Art Previews each carry a backdrop with a known scale, so the design appears at its real proportion.

03

Try alternatives

Different Color Preview swaps vinyl and acrylic colours; Different Material Preview shows the same design in acrylic, MDF, wood and vinyl; Size Comparison Preview places two sizes side by side.

04

Export for approval

Download the preview as an image for WhatsApp or a proposal. Product Mockup Generator produces a clean listing image on a neutral scene.

Scale references

Each backdrop has a reference object of known size (a standard door at 2,030 mm, a sofa at 1,800 mm, a counter at 900 mm high). The design is placed relative to that, so a 600 mm decal appears at 600 mm.

Colour accuracy

Previews use the published colours of common vinyl and acrylic ranges, but screens vary. Confirm with a physical swatch for anything colour-critical.

Materials

Acrylic previews show edge gloss and a shadow from standoffs; MDF previews show the char edge; vinyl previews are flat. The look is indicative, not a render of the exact product.

Client sign-off

Send the preview with the size written on it and ask for a reply confirming the size. The export includes the dimensions in the corner for that reason.

What usually goes wrong

  • Sending a preview without the size on it.
  • Previewing at a size and cutting at another; send the design to production from the same maker.
  • Using a custom photo without a scale reference and guessing.
  • Treating the colour preview as a proof for a corporate brand colour.
  • Skipping the preview on a large job to save five minutes.

Common questions

Can I use my own photo of the customer's wall?

Yes; upload it and mark one known dimension (a door height or a tile width) so the tool can scale the design correctly on it.

Are the preview images watermarked?

No. Exports are clean, with the dimensions in a corner that you can turn off.

Does the preview show mirrored inside-glass decals correctly?

Glass Sticker Preview shows the decal from outside, reading correctly, and notes that the cut file is mirrored.

Can I preview Urdu or Arabic calligraphy?

Yes. Send the composition from any calligraphy or sticker maker; the shaping is preserved in the preview.
